You will be located with the contracts team based on site as a Senior Contracts Engineer; you will have the added responsibility of providing accurate commercial advice to the Project Management on all contractual matters. You will also provide guidance to the more junior members of the team supporting them when required. Your previous camps and non-process infrastructure experience will prove invaluable as will a thorough understanding of the work packages and contractual expertise associated with these works when providing advice and assistance to the project teams.
Duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Provide total contract support to the project.
Prepare contract documentation.
Draft and negotiate terms and agreements with all vendors and suppliers.
Make recommendations for the award of contracts.
Analyse and evaluate commercial risk.
Manage internal and external stakeholder and project relationships.
Streamline and improve contract management process.
Maintain records of contractor performance.
Provide technical and contract expertise to project team as required.
This role is vital to the development of this large project and will assist with all construction activity for future phases.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
5-7 years within a similar role as Contracts Engineer, Consultant or Advisor
Previous EPCM or contractor experience of 3-5 years preferably in camps and non-process infrastructure sector.
3 years plus in a senior role within a contracts team.
A successful track record of accurately recording, analyzing, interpreting and forecasting data for large projects.
Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce or relevant engineering subject is extremely desirable
A successful track record in working on high value projects.
Strong drafting, formation, communication and organisational skills.
A high level of commercial acumen coupled with an acute ability for risk mitigation.
Effective communication skills across all levels.
