Senior Drafting Technician

[Company] is seeking a qualified Drafting Technician for its Maple Grove, MN location. Hanson Structural Precast in Maple Grove, MN provides precast building components for a variety of structures including parking structures, schools, warehouse, office buildings, stadiums and arenas, water treatment facilities, etc. 

The position of Drafting Technician will be responsible for drafting of erection and production drawings, data entry as required to schedule production, and communication with internal and external customers. This position will provide excellent customer service to external customers such as architects, engineers, and contractors as well as internal customers such as engineers, sales, estimating, production and erection.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Drafting / Checking of erection drawings for submittal and for construction.
• Drafting / Checking of piece drawings for production.
• Assist with problem resolution.
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers with their need for precast or reinforced concrete.
• Comply with and enforce all [Company] standard policies and procedures.
• Other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent
• Expertise with AutoCAD
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Focus on good customer service
• Ability to self-direct work
• 3+ years’ experience in a related role
