- Local candidates only, no relocation or candidate travel reimbursement for this position.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Field Survey activities including equipment set up, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, drainage surveys, centerline surveys, and downloading collected data.
- Survey research to determine existing horizontal and vertical control, documentation, etc.
- Courthouse research to collect right of way, ownership and deed information.
- Base map development based off raw field data.
- Performs CADD drafting functions using MicroStation, GeoPak, and CAiCE.
- Assist PLS and Survey Crews with activities including assisting in the development of right of way plans, roadway plans, and quantity calculations.
- Prior experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) required.
- Communicates effectively and works well with other team members to meet goals.
Basic and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience: 6
- Education required: High School Diploma
- Skills required: Experienced with developing base mapping and performing drafting in Microstation, Geopak and CAiCE. Previous work on a survey team performing roadway, bridge and other transportation related surveys. Attentive to survey detail needs, company Health and Safety Programs, and trusted with Company resources.
Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
- Education preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Survey, Geomatics or related field.
- Registrations/Certifications preferred: PLS is a plus.
- Years’ experience preferred: 6 or more.
- This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- This position does not manage others.
