Project Construction Manager
- The PMCM (Program Management/Construction Management) Division of [Company] is currently searching for an experienced Construction Project Manager for Transportation Greenscape projects in the Southern California area.
- The right candidate for this position is passionate about construction projects and enjoys both pursuing and interviewing for projects, and then running with the job once the project has been won and starts.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Insure compliance with contract specifications.
- Approve technical submittals. Respond to RFIs. Supervise construction on projects to insure compliance with the plans, specifications and design.
- Coordinate work with the contractor and various public agencies.
- Prepare daily reports, weekly working day statements, monthly progress payment estimates, BMP reports, meeting summaries, quantity tracking and verification, and other project documentation.
- Serve as the primary Owner's Representative contact for municipal clients.
- Negotiate and process change orders.
- Prepare project closeout documents.
Basic and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience: 20 years, 5 of which supporting municipal clients directly.
- Education required: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Registrations/Certifications required: Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) Registration in California.
- Skills required: Experience managing greenscape projects (roads, trees, street improvements, median, sidewalk, street lighting, etc.). Experience negotiating and processing change orders, and preparing project closeout documents for municipal clients.
- This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- This position does not manage others.
