Principal Technical Professional– Structural

• Under general supervision, the Principal Technical Professional - Structural independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations. He/She provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget. The Principal Technical Professional – Structural may also be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project. As the lead, he/she plans, budgets, organizes, coordinates and controls the project. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design, specification and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, or engineered products for structures, platforms, bridges, pipe racks and buildings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
• 20+ years in structural engineering, to include the industrial arena
• Experience with STAADPro
