Payroll Officer

Based in the West Perth, this mining firm is a well known name throughout Western Australia. Supporting the Group Accountant, this role involves working closely with other areas of the financial function. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to policies and procedures within Payroll and Accounts Payable.


About the Role: 
In this role you will be responsible for calculating and processing the payroll for the WA office. The successful applicant will be required to process all employee changes within the system such as secondments, cessations, leave calculations etc. Key elements of this role include reconciling payroll, payroll tax, insurance and superannuation payments. You will also be responsible for authorised payroll deductions. You will also be responsible for Accounts Payable in this role.


Key Skills and Requirements:
The successful applicant for this role will have over 3 years payroll experience. It is highly desirable that you have experience with Pronto. Exposure to payroll tax and superannuation is essential. Previous Accounts Payable experience would be highly regarded. Skills required for the role include excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and good organisational skills.
