Senior Process/Chemical Engineer

Our Client, a large professional services company, is seeking a Senior Process/Chemical Engineer to join its process design team. The candidate will be part of a team that executes leading-edge autoclave technology-based projects in the mining and metals sector.

Responsibilities

The Senior Process/Chemical Engineer will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • The candidate will lead process design
  • Interpretation of laboratory and pilot results, and assisting clients in the development of test work programs;
  • Development of flow sheets, design criteria, review of mass, energy and water balances;
  • Will work with project team for the development of layouts, assistance with equipment and piping selection, and development of process control philosophies;
  • Developing materials of construction design basis for the process facilities;
  • Assisting mechanical engineers in preparing specifications and executing technical bid evaluations;
  • Interaction with other Consultants and Clients as required by the project;
  • Assistance with development of capital and operating costs;
  • Report writing for studies;
  • Generation of operating manuals, and participation in plant start-ups and commissioning where required.

Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • 8 years of experience in current refractory gold or copper Pressure Oxidation operation.
  • A licensed engineer with a degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering
  • Proficient with all MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
