Salary: $12.00 to $15.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): St. John's Ambulance First-Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Emergency First Response Course, Driver's licence
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Private ambulance company, Mining company, Construction company, Manufacturing firm
Specific Skills: Assess extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment, Administer pre-hospital emergency care, Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care, Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided, Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driver's validity licence check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines
Other Information: ***Occupational First Aid level 2 or 3 Certificate or EMR licence Required***
Must have OWN TRANSPORTATION and work boots. Some jobs require "no" labour.
