IT Security Specialist I

Job Description:

• We are currently seeking an IT Security Specialist I for our location in Midland, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Grants application security, ensuring timely user application access, and compliance with SOX and ITGCC guidelines.
• Creates and maintain IT security and controls standards
• Monitors critical security exceptions
• Processes incoming calls to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) group to ensure timely, courteous and effective resolution of security or control related issues
• Enforces governance, standards, and procedures for IT security and controls to meet audit requirements, business needs, and/or requirements of customers
• Establishes and maintains business relationships to ensure security and control initiatives are met in a timely manner
• Enforces processes in security and controls area, resolving any problems or issues with vendors and/or customers
• Researches, reports, and provides troubleshooting skills to resolve security or control related problems and/or correct issues
• Assists with ITGCC/ICFR audit activities
• Applies GRC procedures verifying all IT policies and procedures are followed properly and effectively
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study, or equivalent relevant experience
• Three (3) or more years of experience in systems support, programming/analysis, system control, security administration, or a related function
• Basic knowledge of systems security administration of multiple enterprise applications
• Experience with the well-servicing or energy industry is desirable
• Knowledge and concepts of systems analysis, procedure development and programming
• Good communication skills with the ability to lead and train others
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external sources
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills as well as familiarity with ITIL® incident, problem, and change management
• Basic knowledge of Identity and Access management solutions to lead requirements analysis, strategy, design, implementation, and migration for businesses
• Basic knowledge of business processes that are enabled by identity and access management solutions
