Geologist

Responsibilities & Duties

A key support role in the aggressive drill campaign of the advance stage Brewery Project to bring the project to feasibility in 2012.  Candidates will be capable of setting drill rigs in the field at designed azimuths and dips, capable of day to day management of drill rigs to ensure proper depths and valid down hole surveys are collected.  The candidate will also be responsible for submitting samples to assay laboratories with proper QA/QC samples and record all data in the company preferred database software. Candidates will also be required to maintain updated plan maps and cross sections of the drill campaign.

The position is camp based at the Brewery Creek Project approximately 45 km east of Dawson City, Yukon Territory.  Work schedule will be normally a 20 days on and 10 days off rotation.

Education & Experience

  • +5 years of mining and exploration experience with drill projects and logging of core samples and or reverse circulation samples
  • Minimum BS degree in Geology or Mining Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, knowledge of ARCGIS, Target, Vulcan and other exploration software.
  • Knowledge and understanding of QA/QC requirements for drill projects
