Geotechnical Engineer

Duration: 4months+

Due to a recent increase in work load, my client, a leading Engineering specialist operating throughout the UK and Europe, have an outstanding opportunity in their Leeds Office. The role requires a forward thinking Engineer to join the Geotechnical Engineering department.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Geotechnical, Hydrogeology and Land Quality disciplines. Duties will include the preparation of bidding documents, reports, budgets as well as project delivery and financial analysis so is required to have a technical, commercially aware disposition and demonstrate a high level of commitment, technical capabilities and an eye for detail.

The candidate will ideally hold an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, or a degree in Civil Engineering / Applied Geology / Environmental Science or associated discipline. The role will afford this specialist an opportunity to work within a diversely experienced team and make a significant contribution to a well established market leading company, as well as enjoy the elements of Geotechnics and a highly competitive salary.

Experience required: A strong academic background with a relevant degree - ideally relevant MSc (+) or equivalent Chartered status or on course to achieving a relevant professional qualification A flair for innovation, good communication and technical report writing skills. The ability to self check and produce accurate work is expected. Experience of soil structure interaction work and numerical analysis is desirable.
