My Client is one of the most prestigious private environmental consultancies in the UK. They provide a comprehensive consultancy service and water management and related disciplines. Due to growing success, they now have a requirement for a Consultant Engineering Geologist to cover the Midlands.
Reporting to the Technical Director of Engineering Services, the role is a mixture of office and site based work and will involve the supervision or external contractors, so Project Management experience is required.
Possessing at least seven years experience in the industry, you will undertake geological and geotechnical investigations for waste management sites, contaminated land, mineral extraction and other development projects assessing environmental impacts and undertaking risk assessments and be able to undertake the preparation of specifications and contract documents for site investigations, laboratory testing and construction works.
You will provide supervision of construction quality assurance for the development of landfill and contaminated land sites, be responsible for monitoring the impact on the environment of contaminated sites including landfills as well as field supervision of drilling operatives, borehole installation and logging of boreholes
You will possess a BSc, Msc or MSci in Geology or Earth Sciences related discipline and will ideally be a Fellow of the Geological Society and be systems literate with a good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Word and Excel.
You must have good levels of experience within contaminated landfill/mineral extraction and experience of CQA of Landfill Site (construction quality assurance) and use of Nuclear density gauges would be beneficial.
A full UK Drivers License is required.
