Senior/Principal Air Quality Engineer
Job Description
- [Company] division is recruiting for a Senior/Principal Air Quality Engineer to work out of our Kennesaw, GA office. This experienced professional will market, win and execute air permitting projects for existing industrial clients and proposed industrial development. This role will have the opportunity for development into a leadership position.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing and business development for air permitting work.
- Project management and team development.
- Technical review and mentoring of junior staff.
- Development of technical approach, selection of technical tools, and direction of project team.
- Regulatory agency strategy and negotiations.
- Client management and development.
- Air permitting and modeling for industrial and governmental clients, and potential industrial development.
- Coordination with site development teams.
Qualifications:
- BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Environmental Engineering, MS in Environmental Engineering a plus.
- 8 to15 years’ experience in environmental engineering and air permitting.
- P.E.
- Demonstrated success in client management and development.
- Technical understanding of permitting process, air modeling, and regulations.
- Significant New Source Review experience.
- Exceptional skills in the areas of: Project Management, Technical Writing, Process Engineering and Air Modeling.
- Strong computer skills and computational abilities.
- Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
Physical Demands
- Able to travel to and from job sites in various areas of the country without limits.
- Ability to tour and inspect air pollution control equipment in operating chemical and industrial plants.
- Potential international travel for project development and meetings.
- Physically able to work on foot in an industrial plant setting for up to 10 hours per day.
