Job Description

  • The [Company] plant will involve the management and oversight of a new paste plant and the installations of cyclones, thickeners, disc filters, paste pumps, binder delivery systems, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have OSHA safety knowledge and be demanding to meet those requirements by contractors on the project. Pharmaceutical clean build protocol. Some HVAC knowledge. Monitors the activities of all crafts involved and ensures compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements.
  • Plays an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
  • Coordinates the work activities of all involved crafts for all disciplines during the entire construction effort and if required, coordinates the activities of contractors performing work within a discipline.
  • Maintains effective schedule and cost control within assigned field functions of the project.
  • Controls change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented.
  • Supervises all construction-related work activities and assigned field functions and/or crafts involved within a discipline on the project.
  • Maintain strong communication skills with the Client in reporting progress, issues or concerns.
  • Assist Project Controls in assembly of work packages and provisions of engineering documents.
  • Solve field mechanical construction problems.
  • Respond to special contractors.
  • Actively participate in the Project Safety Program and lead by example in safety awareness.
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical specifications, codes and standards.
  • Previous experience in construction projects as field engineer or the equivalent design experience.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Degreed or equivalent project experience
  • Typically has 8-15 years of biotechnical, pharmaceutical, and/or mining experience.
  • Mechanical/Civil/QA experience needed.
