About the Company:
Our client is a leading Australian based Consultancy which is focused on Cost, Time and Risk Management of Project Delivery in the Construction Industry. They operate from Project Inception to Close-out and into Asset and Facility Management in the Resources Sector. They are proud to recently have been awarded an award for having the lowest turnover of staff in WA.
 
About the Role:
Our client is currently seeking high caliber Quantity Surveyors from all levels for major resources projects in Western Australia. The successful Quantity Surveyor can be based in our clients Perth or regional WA offices and will have responsibility across commercial functions to ensure that the project is commercially successful.

Duties will include but not be limited to the following: 

• Measuring and describing the work including the preparation of tender documentation and negotiation with contractors
• Detailed budgets and cost plans
• Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
• Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
• Financial control
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts

Requirements:

The following criteria also apply to this role:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• A minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
• Resources project experience  
• Extremely high levels of business acumen and commercial knowledge
• Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to lead and inspire
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Demonstrated strategic planning ability
