A Mining Company has a vacancy for the following challenging position based in Gauteng Province.

MINE DESIGN ENGINEER

Primary Job Function

• Compile monthly, annual and life of mine plans.
• Design all stoping and development in mine 24D.
• Provide a quality service to both mining and rock engineering departments.
• Project design (future stoping and development).
• Provide E.P.S schedules for monthly, annual and life of mine plans.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12.
• MRM certificate and or BSc Honours in mining/survey and or National Higher Diploma in mining/survey and or a B.Tech in mining/survey.
• Adequate mining experience preferably in the Witwatersrand area.
• To be able to work in high pressure environment.
• Experience in Cadsmine, microstation, Mine 24D and Datamine.
• Able to compile or audit wireframes and resource block models in a multiple reef horizon package.
• Exposure to or understanding of mining techniques applicable to massive ore bodies (Longhole stoping and
• Drift mining).
• Must be prepared to work long hours if required.
• Must be Computer literate with advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Projects.
