  • Asia. The [Company] Environmental Division provides high quality and dependable analytical testing data to assist consulting and engineering firms, industry, and government agencies around the world in making informed decisions for environmental projects.

We are currently recruiting for a:

  • Location:   Middletown, Pennsylvania
  • Reports to:   Project Manager Supervisor 

General Accountability:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to be the point of contact to coordinate, manage, and provide timely responses to customer inquiries related to the management and status of each project. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact to coordinate, manage and provide timely responses to customer inquiries related to the management of projects and status of work in progress-from the beginning of sample collection to the final report submission.
  • Review initial QAPP (if required) and at job start-up, review all data information including
  • Chain-of-Custody (COC) forms, accuracy of COC entry, and will coordinate the final laboratory report submission including EDDs and data deliverable packages.
  • Available to client on a day-to-day basis to provide scheduling associated with sample collection, sample containers/bottle specifications, shipping containers, receipt of samples, appropriate turnaround times/due dates, project planning, and final report
  • requirements. Scheduling, sample collection and bottle specifications are responsibilities that are shared with the Field Services Coordinator on a daily basis. 
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of analytical methods, method updates, and
  • method usage in  order to monitor compliance with industry and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Work with Account Executives, laboratory management and operations staff to meet customer requirements and resolve service and technical issues during every phase of the project.  Facilitate corrective action when needed.
  • Define project requirements to ensure all contract requirements are met and communicate requirements to appropriate personnel.  Work closely with internal sample receiving personnel to ensure proper receipt, login, and subcontracting of samples, when required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the Project Manager Supervisor. 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word.  
  • Strong Customer/Client interaction skills and experienced in client contact; able to create
  • innovative solutions to customer challenges
  • Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate
  • well with staff, management and clients in a professional manner.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills 
  • Able to work on a daily basis with all departments.
  • Has a general working knowledge of analytical methods, method updates, and method usage in order to monitor compliance with industry and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Strong industry specific computer skills knowledge including Horizon LMIS very helpful, but not required.   
  • Experienced and skilled at treating others with cooperation and respect, and be able to understand and value both internal and external customers.
  • Able to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%. 
  • Look for new ways to accomplish objectives.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Word, and other industry specific software.  
  • Multi-tasked, organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent problem solving capabilities; will have good time management capabilities.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4 year Degree from a university in Chemistry or related college level program and
  • minimum of 2+ years related to Environmental Chemistry experience in a similar position or 5+ years’ experience in a similar/related position.

Physical Demands: 

  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients.
  • Able to sit, and /or stand for 100% of an 8 hour day.
  • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and other equipment.
  • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
