Lead Cost Engineer

My client have recently been awarded a very high profile large Iron Ore Project and require a Lead Cost Engineer (Mining/Operator) to join their team.

This role is based in London and paying a contract rate of up to £650 per day You will have experience of working on mega projects at feasibility study stage.

Key duties for this role will be to:

Act as Lead Cost for this mega project Develop and maintain the cost management baseline and systems for the project to include but not be limited to the following:

• Development and maintain of Home Office/Construction budget establishment
• Take overall responsibility for timely and accurate cost coding of all field/home office purchase order requisitions, subcontracts, and labor
• Administrate change management for all Home Office/Field related items. This will also include management of the change log and input and reconciliation into the cost reporting system Develop trends, change orders, and budget shifts
• Be responsible for timely and accurate cost forecasts
• Conduct training in cost systems and/or methodologies

You must have experience of: Large projects Working within the mining or oil/gas sectors for at least 10 years. Working at a Lead Cost Level Experience in the mining industry or working at operator level is essential.
