Senior Technical Designer/Drafter

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Sr. Technical Designer works directly with the engineering group to assist with the development of custom equipment solutions and standard product offerings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing fabrication and submittal documentation used in the design, quoting, manufacturing, and testing of electro-mechanical equipment
  • Working on the manufacturing floor to complete "as built drawings" by revising CAD drawing to include modifications made to projects during production process.
  • Work with engineering to review customer project specifications in order to create CAD drawings based on preliminary designs.
  • Responsible for at least 2-3 assignments at once with specific deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • Certification in drafting/design
  • At least 5 years' experience in industrial equipment design and familiarity with electromechanical equipment
  • Ability to develop a full set of fabrication drawings from engineering concept
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD
  • Experience with MS Office

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates degree in CAD drafting/design
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD 2011
  • Experience with SAP R/3 resource planning software
  • Experience with process piping.
  • Experience with control panel wiring
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communicational skills.
