Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist Job

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) leadership and operational support to the Las Vegas facility to ensure compliance with federal, state and specific company regulations
• Maintain facility compliance records for building/air/waste/environmental permits
• Comprehension of Federal, state and local regulation changes that impact permits and permit compliance
• Implement EHS procedures, programs and systems at site level
• Conduct and manage health and safety training of site personnel
• Conduct and manage Self-assessments to ensure compliance with all federal, state and specific company regulations
• Assist operations personnel in developing a knowledge base for site compliance
• Coordinate with all levels of the company to determine EHS solutions for business issues on a day-to-day basis
• Maintain computerized EHS metrics
• Own Sourcing activities as it relates to quoting, requisitions, & receipt of indirect Safety and other equipment/tools
• Mentor and develop shop floor EHS reps to become the first-line site EHS support
• Perform site compliance audits
• Facilitate the conduct of incident investigations and assist with the development of corrective NS preventive actions
• Be a leader in driving EHS Culture Change at the site
• Work on EHS digitization efforts either independently or as part of a team
• Work in collaboration with EHS Headquarters team and attend all conference EHS calls
• Ability to work closely with local Environmental & OSHA agencies.
• Ability to work in very fast paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities while delivering results

Job Qualifications:

• BS Degree in EHS or other technical degree.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
