Director, Business Development

Description:

Our global client is one of the worlds largest EPCM companies and is looking for a Business Development Director.

The Role

  • Identify, pursue and secure project opportunities as identified in the business plan(s) and assigned products (commodities)
  • Compliance with the company  HSEC and Commercial requirements and procedures on job functions
  • Management of client functions (technical and social), as required
  • Creation of assigned client account plans
  • Proposal Manager on select proposals, as required
  • Creation of SWOT analysis for project opportunities
  • Creation of winning strategy memorandums for project prospects/proposal efforts
  • Maintain knowledge of company capabilities, client initiatives, and market
  • conditions
  • Must be able to present effective (power point) presentations to clients
  • Must ensure that proposals meet the RFP requirements
  • Maintain win/loss and other required statistics on submitted proposals
  • Identify Opportunities (Search the web, make site visits to perspective clients)

Experience Required

  • Must have a minimum of 15 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction business, and/or business development for the Mining and Metallurgy industry (including EPC and EPCM projects). Prior experience as engineering manager, and/or project manager for an EPCM project is a plus.
  • Bachelor of science in Engineering (Metallurgy, Process, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical) or Business (Engineering preferred) from an accredited university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Any Canadian Province or Country of Residence) Masters Degree in Business Administration is a Plus
  • Must be able to travel regionally and internationally (at least 25 40% of the time)
