Senior / Lead Planner (Mining / Operator)

My client have recently been awarded a very high profile large Iron Ore Project and require a Senior Planner (Mining) to join their team. These roles are based in London and paying a contract rate of up to £650 per day

The Senior Planner will have experience of working on mega projects at feasibility study stage. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the overall project plan and master schedule based on input from project technical/commercial functions and contractors. You must have experience of mining projects or working for an operator.

You will have experience of the following:
• Development of conceptual and detailed EPCM plans for the mine processing area and rail scopes.
• WPS preparation
• Preparing the necessary project planning, scheduling procedures and support to PDP, PEP and/or other project documentation definition
• Preparing and updating the overall project master schedule
• Supporting the risk analyst in preparing and updating the Risk
• Register and other project registers
• Provide ongoing scheduling support for the project

You must:
• Have experience of both conceptual and detailed planning, scheduling and progress measurement for the complete Project lifecycle of Projects From proposal through to commissioning
• Have used P3e/P6. Experience in the mining industry or working at operator level is essential
