Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• An Intern position provides a hands-on learning experience directly related to responsibilities that transfer to skills needed in a full-time position.  The opportunity is available to develop, participate and learn key roles and functions within infrastructure project design management operations.

Our interns are exposed to any number of responsibilities held by our entry-level employees including:

• Planning
• Design reviews
• Design standards development
• Design performance and project controls reporting
• Coordination with other Kiewit districts related to design build projects
• Review and coordination with Designers
• Participation in bid preparation and design basis development
• Design technology

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction or Sciences.
• Must have knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated work ethic.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned.
