Database Administrator / Geological Draftperson

Job Responsibilities:

We currently have a great opportunity for a Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Draftsperson to join our friendly Perth team.

Our Spatial Information Team provides GIS support across our Mining, Environmental, Geotechnical, Water and Earth Structure Design groups. This is the perfect opportunity to get exposure to a wide variety of projects using the latest GIS software.

You will be responsible for:

- Providing support and expertise related to spatial technologies and their application to environmental assessment and engineering projects.

- Spatial analysis

- Ability to work within defined budgets and schedules

The role will use current GIS software for the following:

- Data collection, validation and formatting.

- Performing spatial analysis and modelling.

- Cartographic presentation & 3D visualisation.


Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:


- Experience using ArcGIS desktop (ArcMap) with 3D Analyst and/or Spatial Analyst extensions, for both cartographic and analytical purposes.

- A degree or equivalent experience in the area of Spatial, Environmental or Geosciences

- Excellent communication skills.

- Experience using other 3D modelling packages is advantageous.

- Experience with CAD software is desirable.

- Experience working in a consulting environment is desirable.
