Plant Metallurgist

As part of a renowned global mining house, this major underground mining operation in North Western Australia has a fully integrated separation and recovery plant that is known as one of the most efficient operations in the world.

An opportunity exists for you to join this leading operation as a Plant Metallurgist. As an integral member of the processing team you will be responsible for ensuring the continued high performance of the recovery operation. Flying in and out of Perth on a great roster, this role will afford you the autonomy that you crave within a supportive and mentoring framework that will enable you to develop your skills.
They are looking for a Plant Metallurgist preferably with a background in grinding and flotation methods to join their production team.

As Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for providing information and analysis to optimise and continuously improve throughput and recovery in the Processing Plant.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Actively participate in safety and production improvement initiatives.
* Day to day process plant operation.
* Provision of technical expertise to operations staff to assist with plan problem solving.
* Report on production and budget targets.
* Testing and project work to improve plant efficiency.
* Monitor and analyse plant performance in order to maximise throughput and recovery.

Requirements:

* 3+ years experience ,with grinding and flotation experience.
* Degree in Metallurgy or mineral processing.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
* Must have residency or visa to work in Australia
