Job Summary
- Weld and or fabricate components according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to layout, fit up and weld to specifications all products code or non-code, standard or non-standard.
- Must perform operations within time standards.
- Produce good quality products within prescribed standards.
- Must follow all safety guidelines in regards to fellow employees and equipment.
- Quality welding procedures for future products.
Qualifications
- Must be able to weld to code specifications for 6G testing. Must be able to interpret blueprints and work from sketches. Must be able to use electric mig and tig welding machines, sub-arc welding machine, carbon arc cutting, all brazing and burning equipment, air disc sanders and grinders, all basic layout and fit-up tools, and all hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years related welding experience and/or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
