Environmental Technician 2

Overview:

  • We are looking for a scientist, geologist, or engineering technician interested in a mix of environmental field-work and office follow-up tasks to work with multi-disciplinary project teams in solving environmental problems and implementing assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with multiple sub-contractors (e.g. drillers, surveyors, analytical laboratories, etc.)
  • Conduct field activities for soil, soil gas, groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling for site characterization and remediation projects
  • Operate and maintain remediation systems
  • Data compilation including preparation of boring logs, well construction diagrams, sampling results, etc.)
  • Data interpretation and presentation to project team

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in construction or environmental consulting industry
  • Associates degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or Hydrogeology (continuing studies is a plus)
  • Good organizational, written, and oral communications skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (proficiency with EQuis, Access, GIS Arcview is a plus)
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training.
  • Ability to travel to temporary assignments
  • MGP, bulk storage, or landfill project experience is a plus
