Officer: Health, Safety and Environment

Our client, a market leader in the provision of turnkey outsourced mining solutions is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Officer : Health, Safety and Environment in the Brits and Rustenburg areas

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
Completed SAMTRAC or COMSOC qualification
Computer literate
At least 5 years relevant mining experience as a Miner and Shift Supervisor
Must be conversant with OHS and MHS acts
Must be conversant with incident and accident investigation
Must be able to conduct inspection and audits as required by company and MHS act
Good communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
Medically fit
Own accommodation
Own transport
Able to relocate if applicable

Job Specification

Establish and maintaining of a safety culture amongst all workers
Make sure all are competent to deliver the outputs required safely
Development and monitoring of strategic safety initiatives
Completion and submission of all statistics, reports and documents to internal and external stakeholders
To assure that Mine conforms to all OHSA 18001 requirements
Completion and submission of all statistics, reports and documents to internal and external stakeholders
