Talent Development Specialist I

Job Description

  • Under general supervision, works with internal Subject Matter Experts to develop quality and relevant training materials. Consults with internal clients to assess training needs and to provide solutions as to overcoming these needs through training and development interventions and initiatives. Assists in implementing, organizing, or administering training programs, and talent development services to Fluor Government Group (FGG) enterprise, and to functional groups/operations within the FGG organization. Applies the ISD/ADDIE model to assure effective and comprehensive training programs/strategies are developed and delivered globally. Partners with [Company] University organization to ensure timely and organized integration of courseware. Assists in managing materials production updates. Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
  • 2-4 years of HR, Training, Talent Development, or Technical Writing experience
  • Professional certification preferred, or willing/able to obtain professional certifications within 2 years of hire and then maintain as valid thereafter
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
Other Job Requirements          
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills as demonstrated through direct contact with multiple stakeholders and functional SMEs/personnel
  • Hands-on experience researching, collecting, organizing and creating quality instructional materials utilizing standard formats and process
  • Proven ability to work as a team member and/or individual contributor based on the specific task assigned
  • Demonstrated results applying ISD/ADDIE model to FGG’s material development and implementation approach
  • Experience managing multiple development projects at once ensuring proper procedures are followed and milestones are achieved per a master schedule.
  • Ability to work within a set process of development and to ensure proper documentation is maintained and progress is recorded.
  • Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 25 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field
  • Participation in professional associations such as ASTD, SHRM, AMA
  • Desire to learn additional software such as Dialogue, Captivate, etc for materials publishing, as requested.
