Cahill has an immediate need for a HSE Advisor for our ongoing projects in Labrador City.
The HSE Advisor will act as the corporate point of contact for safety related issues, attend weekly operations meetings, promote a positive safety culture among employees and ensure the continuous improvement of project specific safety programs. The HSE Advisor will provide employee HSE orientation and training and provide guidance to project staff. The HSE Advisor will liaise with Government OH&S representatives and ensure the OHS Act and regulations are understood, followed and current for all sites. The HSE Advisor will perform HSE audits, inspections and investigations and ensure safety documentation is accurate and complete.
The successful candidate will have a Safety Engineering Technology certificate, a CSO designation and a thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations. A minimum of 8 years experience in a safety related position and a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
The work schedule is a 4 week on, 9 days off rotation. This position offers a competitive compensation package as well as accommodation and travel.
