OPERATIONS MANAGER, INFORMATION SERVICES

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing efficient delivery of production services and the company's resources used to perform this work. The Operations Manager, Information Services (IS) will be accountable for the help desk including monitoring and directing the system, people and processes. The Operations Manager, IS will strive to continually improve help desk processes, conduct analysis on performance through various statistical and reporting methods, and provide the direction for development of the knowledge base of solutions.
Reporting to the Director, Information Services, the successful candidate will act as an escalation point for problems and deliver superior internal customer service. The Operations Manager, IS will ensure that end-user problems are resolved in a timely manner and establish effective communication with customers.
Key qualifications:
- Diploma in IS or computing science or a related discipline is required with a B.Sc. being preferred;
- Exposure to ITIL practices would be considered a distinct asset though not required;
- Minimum 5 years of IS experience is required in increasingly complex roles and preferably in technology related environments;
- Proven leadership skills and effective internal customer service focus;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
