Job Description

  • [Company] (an [Company] company) is the global leading manufacturer of high-pressure hydraulic equipment, components and systems for industries such as offshore, oil & gas, construction, mining, petrochemical and manufacturing, supplying high force solutions to these and many other industries worldwide. [Company] operates in the market of 700 bar high-pressure hydraulic equipment. The company’s products and systems are designed to raise productivity and profit levels, while offering top quality, safety and total customer satisfaction.

Business Contribution:

  • The creation, administration and maintenance of [Company] Global engineering documentation per section 4.4 of ISO9000-2000. This will be accomplished through the development, deployment and maintenance of such tools as Intralink, PDMLink, and Pro/Engineer software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, deploy, and maintain engineering software systems.  Software programs include Pro/E, AutoCAD, Intralink, ProductView, PDMLink, and others.
  • Assist IT department in specifying computer hardware, including engineering file servers, web servers, and engineering workstations, as needed.
  • Create and maintain custom software solutions for the engineering department.  Solutions include Excel logs, Access databases, etc.
  • Create and maintain ISO documents detailing the operating processes of the engineering department.
  • Establishes or upgrades internal engineering standards and practices.
  • Provide support to other [Company] departments that access engineering data.
  • Identify and provide software, and procedure training for users.
  • Work closely with other [Company] business units to help provide consistent business solutions for the company.
  • Works closely with Product Leaders and engineering personnel to improve design of products.
  • Will be required to coordinate communication on a global basis.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Must be capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Must be an effective communicator with all levels of personnel. Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Pro/E, and PTC software.
  • Must also have demonstrated mature creative ability and good business decision making skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects independently in a team environment.
