CMT Lab Technician
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Perform soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt testing assignments in the field or laboratory, including filling out the proper field report forms or laboratory report forms and submitting them to management.
- Maintain testing equipment in good working order and in calibration.
- Obtain training in new technical skills, safety protocols, and other programs.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 0 – 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Must obtain Safety, DDC, and New Hire Training upon hire.
- One or more of the following certifications is required: ACI
- Concrete Field Testing Tech, ; ACI Strength Testing Technician; ACI Laboratory Technician; LBR testing technician, ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspector.
Competencies
- Must have basic math, reading and writing skills. Should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to management and other field personnel.
- Must have sufficient learning aptitude to achieve new technical certifications in construction materials testing.
- Ability to work with environmental exposures in a safe manner.
- Must meet driving requirements to operate company vehicle and/or own vehicle on company business.
