Corporate Account Executive

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a Corporate Account Executive for our North American Operation located in the Memphis TN area. Under general direction, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing profitable sales strategies for key (Steel) Mill Services and accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide knowledge based solutions and services to improve our customer’s performance. Participate in value creation with our Business Development and Engineering staff.
  • Play a lead role in driving a cross-regional sales team and internal employees to penetrate key accounts and aggressively expand relationships.
  • Gather detailed information on current and prospective accounts, identify decision makers, understand strategic business challenges and priorities, and leads team in analyzing information and prioritizing opportunities critical to accounts.
  • Responsible for proposals, account or market plans, and forecast/report sales activity.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with all levels within customer organization including but not limited to; purchasing, operations, and senior management.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with service deliveries.
  • Attends trade shows.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, business, marketing, or technical field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of five years successful experience in a sales role, managing key or specialized accounts, preferably in the steel industry or closely-related industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in civil engineering, environmental sciences or business administration
  • 7-10 years’ experience in marketing and sales in an industry related to steel, metallurgical services, mining or construction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to give technical and sales presentations to potential customers, clients, groups, or management.
  • Customer-oriented personality and focus. Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent ability to self-motivate and work independently.
  • Strong sense of urgency, organization and time-management skills.
