Business Intelligence Architect
Responsibilities
- The Business Intelligence Architect’s primary responsibility is to define and implement a business intelligence strategy and roadmap that aligns with the business reporting objectives. The BI Architect will be responsible for ensuring all BI initiatives and projects align with the roadmap. The strategy will include defining architecture to deliver executive reports, data architecture and master data management, and defining and implementing a consistent BI reporting and delivery framework. The BI Architect will work closely with IM project teams and the business to ensure that the right BI solutions are implemented to support the business initiatives.
- Define the standards for BI projects.
- Define and implement a BI delivery strategy with a consistent information delivery mechanism to the business regardless of the source.
- Define an architecture and roadmap to support executive and ad-hoc reporting, including delivery on mobile devices.
- Ensure all IM projects with BI components support IM’s strategy of only reporting actionable information in a consistent manner regardless of the source.
Qualifications
- Five (5)+ years’ experience in reporting design and development
- Two (2)+ years’ experience in SAP Business Objects and/or SAP Business Warehouse
- Broad knowledge of business intelligence concepts including ETL, report delivery strategies, dashboards, master data management, data architecting, analytics, data warehousing, metadata management, security filtering by role and audience targeting
- SharePoint Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience integrating reports and BI into applications
- Knowledge and experience with techniques used to support real-time reporting scenarios
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred consideration will be given to candidates who possess any of the following:
- Experience with other BI platforms and/or tools
- Experience architecting BI solutions for mobile devices
