Senior Resource Geologist

[Company] is an innovative, forward-thinking privately-owned company with vibrant and highly successful operations employing 250 people across 20 offices. The [Company] operation, located in Central London is responsible for the management of the European, Middle East and Africa regions, providing software sales and support,geological and mining consulting services.

[Company] , a division of [Company] is an international geological, exploration and mining consulting service that specialises in completion of resource and reserve estimation of mineral projects, feasibility studies, mine design, optimisation and scheduling, GIS and exploration planning and management services.

[Company] requires a Senior Resource Geologist to assist with the management and development of the consulting business for the company, and to provide services internationally to clients that require assistance in mineral exploration and resource development, independent technical reports for their projects to facilitate IPOs, valuations and investment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee team of resource geologists
• Liaise with principle consultants for mining, coal and geology
• Manage resource estimation, categorisation and reporting to international standards
• Sign off on resources
• Participation in scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility studies
• Ensure best practice and relevant process are effective and adhered to
• Mentoring and training of MCS geologists

Key Relevant Skills:

• Geology and/or geostatistics degree or post graduate qualifications
• 10 years industry experience with strong resource estimation track record
• Experience with computerised resource modelling packages (knowledge of Micromine is an advantage but not essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
