Our Client, a big gold mining company is looking for Senior Resource Geologist.
Responsibilities:
• Assists with the consolidation of the company’s resource and reserve estimates at the mine and corporate level
• Has responsibility for compliance with respect to mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates
• Provides geological and resource modeling support for mine operations
• Participates in due diligence reviews and compilation of engineering studies
• Assists in establishing processes related to geology and resource modeling
• Participates in Life of Mine and Strategic Business Plan reporting as required
• Compiles and distributes weekly and monthly reports as well as regular reconciliation reports
• Provides geological input and consults with Mine Engineering staff regarding mine design
• Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations. Wears PPE at all times while in the production environment. Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions j. Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements
• Participates in specification and ordering of parts and equipment as necessary for the geology and drilling functions at Mine using inventory and ordering systems in place
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or higher
• Previous work experience using Micromine 3D modeling software or similar software package
• Over 5 years of mining related experience as an operator and / or consultant
• Geological and resource modeling experience
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in Russian and functional English
• Eligibility to work in Russia is essential.
• Additional specialized education of up to 2 years including masters level degree or equivalent
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, organizational, technical and analytical skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Good working knowledge and skill with AutoCAD and proficiency with MS Office
