Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary
- The primary responsibility of this position is to support the financial planning and analysis requirements for the Global Evaporative Cooling business and to plan, analyze, and control the accounting and financial functions of the Evaporative Cooling Americas package and parts product lines. Evaporative Cooling is part of the $1.6B Thermal Equipment and Services segment of [Company] Corporation. Additional responsibilities include analyses related to margins, profits and losses, balance sheets, and commission bonus plans. This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial and accounting practices are consistent with generally accepted accounting principles. The role is responsible to review project level details to identify financial forecast risks, opportunities, and other financial impacts and communicate the impacts to the package and parts operational leadership teams and to the Director, Finance - Global Evaporative Cooling. The role will provide support to other financial personnel in the areas of budget development and management, financial accountability. Other duties include serving as a key business partner for the Evaporative business. The successful incumbent will be able to communicate a positive, consistent message of strategy and growth to all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with management staff and other financial and leadership staff
- Prepare monthly financial planning and analysis requirements of the Thermal segment
- Plan, direct and control all accounting and financial functions of the package and parts business within the region
- Prepare product line’s annual plan and budget
- Communicate financial information to all levels of the organization
- Review and analyze project cost details in SAP
- Prepare and communicate corporate forecast submissions
- Perform analysis of as-quoted versus as-built margins
- Administer monthly closing
- Coordinate the monthly forecast process and provide weekly updates to global finance team
- Lead initiatives to enhance system-related reporting functions and capabilities, to improve visibility and consistency of financial reporting
- Coordinate the E201 process pertaining to capital expenditures for the regional product line business, including the review and routing of completed forms to global finance team for leadership approval
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting, preferably with emphasis on manufacturing accounting
- Prior work experience with ERP business process flows preferred, specifically as they relate to cost, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing modules
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Understanding of financial statements
- Sense of urgency and focus
- Ability and willingness to initiate proactive change
