Sales and Use Tax Accountant

Position Description

  • [Company] is searching for a Sales and Use Tax Accountant. 

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and filing of sales, use, gross receipts and property tax returnsAssist with property tax renditions and accruals
  • Assist with the resolution of tax notices and inquiries
  • Reconciliation of sales/use and other related tax accounts
  • Support sales and use tax audits and assist with the gathering of required documentation
  • Assist with monthly and/or quarterly review of taxability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance,  2 – 4 years’ experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of multistate sales and use tax compliance requirements required
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle a plus
  • Working knowledge of Vertex  a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
