Laboratory Technician - Chemical Engineer or Materials Science

A leader of building products and an innovator in the Australian construction industry has an opportunity for a self driven, enthusiastic laboratory technician with a chemical engineer or material science background.

You will be working within both the technical and research development departments and it is an opportunity to get exposure in a world class facility, which can lead to a long term or full time position.

Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Conduct testing in the mechanical laboratory
  • Sample preparation and running samples
  • Conduct testing in the chemical laboratory
  • Utilising XRF and XRD as appropriate
  • Statistical analysis experience required
To be suitable for this role:
  • A Chemical Engineering or Materials Science graduate is highly desirable
  • Some industrial experience in a research or commercial facility
  • A self driven individual with an interest in science and an ability to ask questions
