Industrial Hygienist

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Jacksonville, FL office of [Company] is seeking an entry level Industrial Hygienist. This individual will provide technical support on a variety of industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting field assignments, such as performing industrial hygiene monitoring, noise assessments, asbestos inspections and abatement monitoring, mold inspections and remediation monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, chemical inventory assessments, ergonomics assessments, job hazard assessments and similar assignments;
  • Preparing technical reports, including documentation of field investigative procedures, data management and interpretation, and development of graphical and tabular presentation of data;
  • Assisting in the development of environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance programs, including developing procedures and preparing and submitting periodic regulatory reports.
  • This position requires extensive travel within the United States and internationally for work at client sites. This individual will work closely with and support senior IH and EHS compliance practitioners and project managers. Interacting with clients and regulators to meet task and budget requirements is a key to success in this position.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or similar scientific discipline;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web-based applications;
  • Familiarity with IH sampling techniques and basic OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements;
  • Local candidates preferred.
