Programming Intern

Position Summary

  • In this position, the intern will be an integral part of the Engineering Services Team. The intern will support the engineering tools and websites for the packaged control products divisions.
  • The intern will have an opportunity to gain experience through direct, hands-on participation in a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must be permanently eligible to work in the US.
  • The candidate must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • The candidate must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Additionally, the candidate must be at a minimum Sophomore academic status level.
  • The candidate must be able to have the flexibility to work during the school year in addition to the summer. This position will be full time (40 hours) during the summer, and will be at least 15 hours during the school year.
  • Must be Proficient in PC skills
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Prefer candidate who has experience working with the following applications:
  • Visual Basic, VBA, HTML, VBScripts, MS Access, Networking, Business Applications, and FTP.
  • Desire candidate who has experience working with the following applications:
  • Experience with CAD/CAE applications, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, ProE, Solaris Unix, VB.Net, and DreamWeaver a plus.
