Intern, Communications

Position Summary

  • Responsibilities include helping develop and effectively execute communication strategies, tactics and projects across the [Company] organization.
  • The ideal candidate will have outstanding business writing, verbal, presentation, and analytic skills, good judgment and instincts and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in all levels of the organization.
  • Candidates must be able to support a broad array of team members, while multi-tasking and prioritizing critical work levels effectively.
  • Reliability, flexibility and creativity will be required in this position.
  • Candidates applying should be available to work 20-30 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Writing announcements, articles and communication materials
  • Assisting in creation of leadership messaging content and posting to various media including blogs, intranet and e-mail
  • Assisting in news content development, posting schedule, and archives for global intranet and local campus communications
  • Development of multi-media programs to support internal communication objectives
  • Support logistic coordination, presentation development and planning global employee meetings and events
  • Define and implement process improvements to optimize and enhance internal communications efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Permanently eligible to work in the US.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree Communication, Public Relations or a related discipline.
  • Previous co-op or intern experience is desirable.
  • Individuals must have a demonstrated record of technical competence, interpersonal skills, leadership ability, a strong desire for achievement and a willingness to relocate.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
