Our client is a leading provider of engineering services in the Asia/Pacific region employing over nearly 8000 people.  Their Contracting Business is the largest electrical and leading mechanical contractor in Australia working in main stream and niche markets across a wide range of industries.
 
About the Role:
The Contract administrator's primary function is to protect the Company's commercial interests in the contract with the customer and subcontractor by ensuring compliance with the contract administration requirements:

Main Duties for Contract Administrator:
  • Notices and claims for variations.
  • Disruptions, delays, prolongation, compression and extension of time.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of notices and claims. 
  • Ensuring that risks are allocated in the subcontract between the Company and subcontractors after considering the head contract conditions and the ability of the party best able to control the risk.

Successful Contract Administrator must have:
  • Proven experience in Legal, Contract administration or Project Management role.
  • Tertiary qualified: Minimum Associate Diploma (engineering preferred) or minimum of 3 years experience in similar role.
  • Business understanding (market knowledge in area of work)
  • Proven skills in dispute resolution and negotiation.
