Senior Mechanical Engineers- Mining

Our client is a world class leader in EPCM for producers of precious metals and coal. They employ over 4 000 employees in Africa. They are listed on major stock exchanges

Minimum requirements:

• Experience in a project environment, especially on mining projects, would be a distinct advantage.
• Engineers should be registered with ECSA or in a position to register in the short term
• Degree/diploma with experience ranging between 5 and 10+ years, but with emphasis on Senior Mechanical Engineers.
• Focus on engineers with Project/EPCM experience. Preference for engineers wishing to remain in the discipline as opposed to migrating towards Engineering Management or Project Management in the short term

Key responsibilities:

• Materials handling equipment
• Piping and pumping
• Conveyor design
• General mechanical engineering
• knowledge of mines and / or process plants
• Understanding of the procurement process
• Understanding of the scheduling process
