Sr Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

A world leader of surgical devices is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer that will responsible to support production operation to improve products to comply with best practices of the industry.

Requirements:

Mechanical engineering degree
5 year experience in mechanical system design where the use of cams, levers, angles, plastics and stamped metals are used as mechanical principals for devices.
Proven knowledge of design assisted by computer like Autocad, Solidworks , ProE or other related mechanical design programs (Not used for updating floor layouts).
Understanding of drawing interpretation under ASME y14.5m-1994 standard for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Understanding and use of problem solving tools like, PFMEA, Capacity analysis, R&R, Hypothesis testing, DOE, Pareto, Ishikawa diagram, 8D's etc. Demonstrated use of Six Sigma.
Proven experience in the overall service engineering support activities, understanding the machines their components, what is important and their interaction with the materials that they handle, crisp and quick understanding of the potential risk to the product performance, able to handle technical related questions, (materials, specifications, drawings, spec sheets, experience with projects related to material substitutions).
Understanding of QSR (Quality System Regulations), Validations, some experience in the Medical industry and ISO regulated company
Advanced English verbal and written (100%)
