Job Description:
  • Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing and selling of state of the art electronics products for the audio and video industry and is looking for an Acoustic Engineer.
Requirements:
  • Self motivated with strong Electrical experience for speaker and audio application
  • Knowledge of subjective and objective test methods used to assess acoustic, speech, and audio performance. 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Acoustic speakers experience. 
  • Background in quality
  • Engineer degree
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/2008 and Six sigma
  • Highly organized
  • Good Project management skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong leadership ability
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop requirements and architectures for various speakers applications.
  • Analysis of systems and characterize their performance.
  • Lead the acoustic design characteristics of the technical activities on the development of a highly integrated, low power device for seniors.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team through all phases of product development to ensure successful execution of innovative, best-in-class designs.
  • Provide written specifications, reports and summaries of development projects and tasks.
  • Development of a Laboratory acoustic proof.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Frequency Response: Frequency Test from 20Hz to 20K Hz
  • Phase Test: used to detect reversed connections in speakers.
  • Hi-Pot (Withstand Voltage)
  • Insulation Resistance Test
  • Test for headphones and/or speakers.
Experience in mechanical test realization
  • Durometro
  • Bending Test
  • Pull Test
  • Abrasion test
  • Adhesion test
  • Plating Thickness
  • Drop Test
  • Vibration Test
Experience in environmental tests:
  • High temperature
  • Low temperature
  • Dampness test
  • Corrosion test
  • Resistance to chemicals
Experience and Capacity of handling standards of the following organizations
  • ATSM
  • Militares
  • ANSI
  • UL 
  • CSA
