Director - Finance & Accounting

Position Description:

• Provide direct support to the Vice President of Operations relative to all aspects of Finance and Accounting.   Position will be responsible for management of all financial functions, decision making in regards to key financial drivers and capital investment.  Position will be actively involved in forecasting, profitability models, key financial metrics, and continual review of the financial health of responsible facilities.  Position will be responsible for communication with the Terminals VP of Finance and Terminals Divisional Controllers on all F&A deliverables.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee hiring, personnel development, and organization planning for regional F&A Staff
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting requirements
• Direct responsibility for the weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasts (P&L and Capital)
• Direct responsibility for the annual budget process
• Development and reporting of key financial metrics and profitability drivers
• Knowledgeable about the business and connected to key business activities
• Oversight of the Contract Administration function
• Oversee the month end close, financial statement review, and overall compliance with GAAP accounting
• Audit coordination (internal and external)
• Oversight of Financial Information systems development
• Management of capital investment models and cash flow return analysis
• Due diligence on any potential acquisitions
• Special projects and annual objectives as assigned.

Position Requirements

Experience required: 

• Minimum 10 - 15 yrs, with management experience.  Heavy emphasis on Operational Financial Management.   Job is heavy in operational financial support vs. technical financial support.   
• Work experience as a CFO or high level manager
• Budgeted Financials for areas of responsibility - $250MM revenue; $140MM EBITDA
• Finance & Accounting Staff of 10-15 (Direct and dotted line)

Education requirements:  

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA Preferred

Other Requirements:

• Travel to all facilities within area of responsibility
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record for the company and its insurers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong decision making ability
• Independent thinker, self starter
• Demonstrated understanding of capital investment fundamentals and cash flow analysis
• Strong respect for deadlines, extended hours beyond core business hours is required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
• Terminaling industry experience preferred, but at a minimum demonstrated operational knowledge
• Successful completion of a background check, credit check and drug screen post offer
