Senior Software Engineer
Position Summary:
- We are seeking a software engineer with skills covering web/application development using the Microsoft technology stack, SQL Server and Oracle. The candidate should also have experience with report development using tools similar to one or more of those listed below. The developer will define/document technical requirements and assist with troubleshooting production issues. If necessary, they need to coordinate with other areas to implement the solution or resolve issues.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with .NET Technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML and Web Services)
- Experience in database design and server side programming in SQL Server and Oracle (desired) using Stored Procedures, T-SQL statements
- Technically Proficient in developing web/client server reports using BI/reporting tools like Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Business Objects
- Strong experience in Web Technologies (ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, HTML)
- Excellent communication, inter-personnel and team player skills
- Proficient in making enhancements to an existing product
- Can quickly adapt to changing/evolving requirements
- 5 years relevant information systems development experience
- Experience with ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Datastage, etc.
- Experience with XML Technologies (Web Services, SOAP, XML, XSLT, XPath)
- Experience integrating with JD Edwards or other ERP platforms
- Exposure to aggregates or other manufacturing/construction industry a plus
- Participation in full application development life cycle and exposure to Agile Development Methodologies would be a plus
