Human Resources Director

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for supporting division management team toward achieving business objectives by developing and implementing appropriate Human Resources strategies, systems and programs. Direct staff to coordinate all aspects of the safety and human resources functions for the Division including all safety programs and applicable safety training; provide consultation and guidance to employees, organizational planning, employee relations, oversight of worker’s compensation claims and case management issues; develop talent identification and succession planning activities; and perform other related job duties as required. Responsible for both union and non-union workforces at aggregate manufacturing facilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years human resources experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of employment law, OSHA/MSHA rules and guidelines
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • 30% travel required
